Approximately 100 people participated Sept. 15 in Harmony Walk, a celebration of cooperation among religions in the Harrisburg area.

The walk brings together people of many faiths in harmony and peace and includes Jewish, Christian, and Islamic houses of worship. People of all religions, including Buddhist, Baha’i, Hindu, Sikh, and those of no specific faith were invited to attend.

At several stops along the walk, leaders shared words of wisdom about the values of unity and harmony. Participating wereGoodwin Memorial Baptist Church, St Paul Episcopal Church, Madeline L Olewine Library, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Wesley Union AME Zion Church, Kesher Israel Congregation and Ahmadiyya Muslim Community - Hadee Mosque.

The walk was sponsored by The InterReligious Forum of Greater Harrisburg and The Interfaith Center of Greater Harrisburg.
