Central PA's LGBT News Source
The Central Voice received five awards as part of the 2020 Professional Keystone Media Award program. The LGBT bimonthly and web site publication garnered one first place and four second place awards in Division VII - Niche Publications, all circulations.
The Keystone Media Awards reinforce excellence by individuals in the news media profession, by recognizing journalism that consistently provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers and audiences, and faithfully fulfills its First Amendment rights and responsibilities.
“Our business mission is to provide a ‘voice’ for the LGBT community, our allies, and advertisers,” Frank Pizzoli, founding publisher and editor, said. “When peers note our editorial work in diversity, news beat reporting, lifestyle and entertainment news, educational column and our cartooning, it’s feedback we’re on the right track.”
“There’s always room for more voices. I encourage anyone who has an interest in getting involved to directly contact me – firstname.lastname@example.org,” Pizzoli said.
“We are very fortunate to have the talents of Frank Pizzoli as well as the many other contributors,” said Joe Sukle, co-owner of Press & Journal Publications, parent company of The Central Voice. “We are also appreciative of the continued support of the business community and the many organizations that depend on Central Voice for the ‘straight’ news about the LGBTQ+ community.”
For the second year in a row, CV parent company Press & Journal won the PNA-KMA Sweepstakes Award for Division VI.
