Winter exhibition to honor

Art Association membership's event


The ever-popular Art Association of Harrisburg Winter Membership Exhibition” Figuratively Speaking” opened Jan. 12.

A reception, sponsored by AAH Board Member Randy Michener, was held from 5 to 8 p.m. and was hosted by Tracey Meloni and John Keck. The musical duo “Free the Tweeds” provided entertainment for the reception, with an awards' ceremony at 6 p.m.

Prize sponsors for the exhibition included: Lennie Whitcomb & Mary Quinn, watercolors; LB Smith Ford, photography; Alan Hostetler Insurance, pastels & drawings; Kathy Marley-Dunbar, oils & acrylics; Ray Davis, Realtor, other media; Silvers Family Dental Care, sculpture & ceramics; Hilton Harrisburg, best-of-show. The show’s prize juror is former AAH Curator Terrie Tedeschi Hosey.

All AAH artist members were eligible to enter the exhibition, with the theme of the entries the human figure. All styles and media are included in the show. The exhibition continues through February 15 during regular gallery hours.
